Tailor an application without leaving the job board
JobTailor AI reads the posting on screen, ranks your résumés against it and imports the job in one step.
Checking whether it is installed…
This extension is not on the Chrome Web Store yet, and a website cannot install an extension on its own - Chrome removed that in 2018. Until the listing is live, it installs from an archive, which takes about a minute.

- 1
Download and unpack
Save the archive, then unzip it somewhere you will keep. Chrome loads the extension from that folder every time it starts, so moving or deleting the folder uninstalls it.
- 2
Open the extensions page
Paste this into the address bar. It cannot be a link on this page - browsers refuse to follow a chrome:// address from a website.
chrome://extensions - 3
Turn on Developer mode
The toggle is in the top-right corner. Chrome shows a warning about developer-mode extensions at each start; that notice appears for anything not installed from the Web Store.
- 4
Load unpacked
Choose Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder - the one containing manifest.json. JobTailor AI appears in the toolbar, and its side panel opens on any job posting.
What it does once it is installed
Reads the posting you are looking at
Title, company, location, salary and the full description, taken from the page's own structured data where the board publishes it and from the DOM where it does not.
Scores your résumés against it
Every résumé on your account, ranked, with the keywords the posting wants and yours is missing. The scoring is deterministic and runs on the server.
Imports it as an application
One step from posting to a tracked application, with a tailored résumé and cover letter generated against that job's wording.
Stays out of the way
A side panel you open when you want it. No key to paste and nothing to configure - it signs in with the account you already have.
After it is installed
- Sign in from the side panel
- Open the panel and enter the same email address and password you use here. There is no token to copy across. Create an account if you do not have one yet.
- Chrome will keep warning you about developer mode
- That notice appears for every extension not installed from the Chrome Web Store, which includes this one. Dismissing it does not disable the extension.
- Keep the unzipped folder
- Chrome loads an unpacked extension from its folder at every start rather than copying it, so moving or deleting that folder removes the extension.
- Updating is manual
- Unpacked extensions do not update themselves. Download the archive again, replace the contents of the same folder, and press Reload on the extension's card in chrome://extensions.
